INSANITY II WALKTHROUGH
-----------------------
1.(OPTIONAL) Read the newspaper cut-out on the wall.
2.Go East.
3.(OPTIONAL) Read the newspaper cut-out on the wall.
4.Get the candle on the staircase.
5.Go East.
6.Examine the gulley in the floorboards.
7."Peter Langdon, that's my
name!!" Somebody has put a dead body in a grave to mock you. Examine the
paper on the
floor.
8.Click on the taped-down key.
9.Watch intro sequence - "Is it real? Or not?"
10.Got key now. Go
Back.
11.Use key on the
door.
12.Specter appears
for a second. (OPTIONAL) Read the newspaper cut-out on the wall.
13.Go East.
14.Take wrench on
the wall next to the door. If you don't take it now it will flicker later after
you examine the
sink cabinet and the ribbon.
15.Go North.
16.(OPTIONAL)
Examine the second painting and the eye sockets for a juicy death.
17.Examine the
sink cabinet. Use the wrench on the valve to get a clue.
18.Examine the
first painting. It gives you a clue to the code you have to use later on the Arnolfini Processor.
If you have not already seen the ribbon
earlier you won't get any idea what it means. Otherwise it says "One
broom, two tassles, nine cogs, six hands"
These rearranged to the order of the items on the ribbon gives you the
code, 2 4 6 9.
19.Go Back to the
corridor where Specter appeared and go North.
20.(OPTIONAL) Read
the newspaper cut-out on the wall. Go East and you will see that Alexander's
door is locked, as
are the double-doors, and the ladder down to the basement requires a
light- the candle is insufficient however. Go
Back.
21.Examine the
electronic locking system. Enter the code 2,1,6,9 (in that order). The *ON*
switch is activated.
You can now manually activate/deactivate
the system. Go Back.
22.The shutter
door is now half-open. Go through.
23.(OPTIONAL)
Examine the computer for some information about the monsters that appear
throughout the game. Open
the drapes and go through. You will find a dead John, one of your
reporting crew. Go Back.
24.Watch 'CHIMERA
RELEASED' scene.
25.(OPTIONAL) Go
back to the intro screen and try to escape. You will be told the window is too
high and you need
to find another exit.
26.Go East to the
corridor with the piano playing. Chimera will attack you. Run back through to
the computer room
and hide behind the drapes. You will have to move quickly or you will
be killed on every screen.
27.You will need
to drag open the curtains using the mouse button while Chimera is on the
right-side of the
screen, until the count is 0. Then you can escape. Go to the Arnolfini Processor and deactivate the shutter to
trap Chimera.
28.Go East. Both
the double-doors and Alexanders
room are now open. Go to Alexanders room (Mephisto). Talk to him.
Afterwards you'll see he is being
mind-controlled by some kind of insect. You'll need to remove it somehow. Go
Back. (EXTRA INFO: Yes, this is the same
Alexander from 'THE INSANITY' pre-op of course!)
29.Go through the
double-doors. Investigate the wall safe.
30.The purpose of
the game is to turn all the symbols into sun symbols. A symbol will convert to
whatever symbol
you strike it against from 2 blocks away. (OPTIONAL) Convert all
symbols to moon for a death-scene. Once all
symbols are sun, the safe will open. Examine it.
31.(OPTIONAL)Read
the rolled-up newspaper.
32.Get the torch.
33.Go back to the
main corridor. The torch will enable you to go down to the basement.
34.In the basement
you see Lars, another member of your crew, strung up. Use the torch and
activate the fuse-box
on the left side of the room. With the light on, get the throwing
knife that is balancing on the pot. Go back up
the ladder.
35.Go into Alexanders room. Use the knife on the parasite and he will
give you the key to his private chamber.
36.Go back to the
screen with the gulley corpse, use the chamber key on the East wall. It will
reveal a secret
door. Go through.
37.The water tank
room has a pump you will use later, for now go West.
38.(OPTIONAL)Read
the faded newspaper on the wall. Get the air gun and talk to Lester. He will
give you a clue for
later.
39.Go all the way
back to the basement with the hanging man. Go North.
40.Specter will be
blocking the north exit. He's molecules are unstable and even an air-gun can
kill him. Fire a
shot to make him attack you then hit him about 12 times to kill him. Go
North.
41.In the lab,
pull the switch to activate the stasis chamber and open the locked glass
cabinet. You will see
Project K and Edgar Friendly will talk to
you. (EXTRA INFO: Project K also appears in 'THE INSANITY'- as does
Edgar Friendly. Of course, they're twin
brothers.) Get the acid from inside the cabinet. Now go back to the water
pump room and put the acid inside. After you're done, go back to the
hanging man screen. You'll hear a
scream-
it's a something dying from drinking the acid. Go North, then East.
42.Open the
chained door.(OPTIONAL)Try opening the chained door before putting the acid
into the pump to get a
death-scene.(OPTIONAL)Read
the final newspaper on the wall.
43.There is a dead
beast here, Sarcosus. Go North.
44.Tracy Takaki tries to fool you into thinking you're not seeing
reality correctly. Ignore her and -quickly- use
the acid on her when she attacks. She'll be horribly burned and escape
through a secret door. (EXTRA INFO: This is
why she appears so mutated in 'THE INSANITY')
45.Get the
hand-wheel on the floor. Go back to the chain-door room and East.
46.If you had not
gotten the torch and candle you would not be able to enter the sewer. You can
now, so go North.
47.Shimmer is down
here sleeping. Use the torch and get the key on the east-side of the screen.(OPTIONAL)Shine the
torch on Shimmer's face for a death-scene.
48.Shimmer will
now chase you back up the sewer tunnel. Click the mouse button as quickly as
you can to make
Langdon crawl faster up towards the exit.
49.Once you're
back into the basement -quickly- throw the candle onto the oily floor. Shimmer
will be incinerated.
50.Go East. Use
the hand-wheel and the pipe key on the cylinder base. This will open to the
exit elevator.
51.Edgar Friendly
will make a final appearance in person before activating the final puzzle.
52.The object of
the puzzle is to pass all 3 rounds by clicking on any of the icons within the
main grid that
match with the icons shown on the right. Get 10 matching icons and you'll
progress to the next round. The first
round is the easiest- any of the 3 symbols on the right can be used, but
in the other rounds you get less icons to
choose from.(OPTIONAL) Allow the timer to run out or select the wrong
symbols 3 times for a death scene inc. some
dodgy EvilKris voice acting.
55.Final screen.
Use the air gun to shoot the *WINDOW* above Chimera 4-5 times (when he comes
into the light) so
that he is killed by the smashed pieces.
56.CONGRATULATIONS you've clocked the game. Enjoy the ending.
